Changes to the exams to assess optional topics and content. Two of three papers must be chosen for the second component. At LVC, students will complete Poetry Anthology and 19th Century Prose, and not Unseen Poetry. |

Students will not be asked questions during the exams in relation to their own fieldwork experience. There will be an optional element to the exams. |
Students will be asked questions on “unfamiliar” fieldwork which will be on rivers for the Natural World (physical) exam and on urban areas in the People and Society (human) exam. In the Natural World (physical) exam the topics of Changing Climate, Distinctive Landscapes and the fieldwork / skills question are mandatory. Students could choose to answer the questions on either Sustaining Ecosystems, Global Hazards or Resource Reliance. We have not covered Sustaining Ecosystems or Global Hazards so all students should choose Resource Reliance. |

History | Pearson Edexcel GCSE History (9-1) from 2016 |
Students will be assessed on three of the four components across three exam papers. Students have been prepared specifically for these three topics. |
Students will answer questions on the three topics studied; Medicine Through Time (Paper 1), Anglo-Saxon and Norman England (Paper 2), and Russia and the Soviet Union, 1917-41 (Paper 3). Students have not been taught and will not be examined on the 4th topic, Conflict in the Middle East. |
