At Linton Village College we educate our students about how to remain safe online. This education is delivered through assemblies, our tutor time programme and the wider curriculum. Students are taught about online risks through the 4Cs, which are: conduct; contact; content; and commercialism.

Conduct – How someone behaves online versus offline and the risks associated with this behaviour.

Contact – Who someone is in communication with online and the risks associated with people who are not known by the individual.

Content – What sorts of material someone is engaging in online and the risks associated with accessing this.

Commerce – How websites, apps and pop-ups may present risks to someone.
