Y11 French & Spanish Residential Trip

In October 50 year 11 students took part in residential trips to Lyon in France and Málaga in Spain. Students were immersed in French and Spanish culture and language throughout their five days abroad, as they received guided tours of local tourist attractions, ordered food in French and Spanish and received language lessons in a local language school. Highlights of the Spanish trip were a flamenco lesson in Spanish, playing football on the beach and a visit to the traditional Andalusian white village of Mijas. Very popular in France was a visit to the old town of Lyon and the Roman ruins, as well as a tasting of traditional chocolates and sweets.
