Results Day 2026

Post Results Information for Students

There are several options available to you once you have received your results should you feel that the result does not reflect the grade you were expecting. These are services you can request from the exam board; they incur fees that are the candidate’s responsibility. Requests must be made via the school’s exams office using the appropriate Microsoft Form (links below).

Note: Fees must be paid via WisePay before the College submits the request to the exam board.

Access to scripts:

Deadline: Thursday 27th August

Copies of marked scripts will allow you to evaluate performance on questions.

Scripts will be available shortly after results day. Assuming payment has been made, scripts will be sent to your school e-mail address.

If you feel the incorrect mark has been awarded, you can then request a Clerical Re-check or a Review of Marking.

Expect a response from the College on or before Thursday 3rd September.

Clerical Re-check:

Deadline: Sunday 6th September

This is a check of all clerical procedures which lead the exam board to issue a result. The exam board check that:

  • All parts of the exam paper have been marked.
  • Marks have been recorded and added up correctly.

Expect a response from the College on or before Monday 14th September. Once the College has submitted the request to the exam board, we should expect a response within 10 calendar days. After receiving the outcome, there is an appeals process available. We can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.

Review of Marking:

Deadline: Sunday 6th September

This is a check that examiners have marked externally assessed components correctly. This includes:

  • A Clerical Re-check
  • A review of marking of units/components by a senior examiner to identify genuine marking errors or unreasonable marking.
  • The paper is NOT re-marked.

Expect a response from the College on or before Monday 14th September. Once the College has submitted the request to the exam board, we should expect a response within 20 calendar days. After receiving the outcome, there is an appeals process available. We can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.

Note: No one can make a post-results request on a student’s behalf unless consent is given. You must understand that the exam result could go up, or down, or stay the same.

These fees are per unit/paper and are paid using WisePay. If there is a change in grade because of a clerical re-check or review of marking, you will receive a full refund for the service (minus any service charge). These are not yet updated for 2026.
