Results Day
Thursday 20th August 2026
When and where?
Year 11 students are invited to collect their GCSE results from the College between 9:00am and 10:00am. Make your way to the East Common Room via the front of the school.
What happens when I get there?
You will find a table for each year 11 form group. Find the table for your form. You will need to sign a document to confirm that you have collected your results. You will be given an A4 envelope to open at your leisure. You can open it at the College or you can wait until you get home.
What will I find in my envelope?
You will find a letter from Mr Fehr, a slip of paper with information about the Year 11 Celebration Event in November, and a page with a list of your GCSE grades.
What if I can’t collect my results on the day?
Results envelopes can be collected from reception from the first day of school in September. We do not offer a postal service. If you are away and would like to access your results online, you must let us know. Contact exams@lintonvc.org by Monday 15th June so that we can plan for you to access your results on Bromcom. You can expect your results to be available by 11:00am on Results Day.
What do I do next?
Your post-16 provider may expect you to submit your results through their own portal. Post-16 providers will have sent you instructions.
What if I’m not happy with my results?
Please refer to this guidance from JCQ and this page on our website. Similar information will be shared with you on Results Day in your envelope. It may be worth checking the grade boundaries. We aim to provide you with a summary of all relevant grade boundaries on results day on this page of the LVC website.
Can I access my results online?
Your results will be made available on Bromcom. Use your LVC Microsoft account to sign into the iOS app, the Android app, or the website (all links open in a new tab). We will aim to make results available online from 9am on Results Day. This is our first year using Bromcom for results, so please be patient and only contact us for support if results do not appear by 11am.
I’ll be away on Results Day. Can I access my results from overseas?
To access Bromcom, you must use your LVC student account, which use Microsoft single-sign-on for authentication. By default, LVC enforces a geofencing policy that restricts account logins to the UK. If you have notified the Exams Team (exams@lintonvc.org), we will apply a temporary exception rule to your account. This will lift the geographic restriction from Thursday 13th August to Thursday 27th August, giving you time to test your connection from abroad before results are released.
While Bromcom permits international traffic and LVC will suspend its geofencing for your account, your connection still depends on local internet conditions. Some countries operate strict national firewalls that block traffic to UK servers. If you experience connection issues while abroad, routing your traffic through a VPN (Virtual Private Network) with a UK endpoint should allow you to bypass local blocks and access Bromcom.
Who do I contact with my questions?
You may contact us at exams@lintonvc.org with any questions. This inbox will be active during the school term until Friday 17th July, and then again on Wednesday and Thursday, 19th and 20th August. If you would like to speak with a member of staff on Results Day, you can do so in person between 10am and 12pm by visiting Reception. You can also reach the exams team by phone between 1pm and 3pm on 01223 891 233 (the usual number). There will be a message telling you which extension number to dial. After Results Day, any e-mails will be responded to once the College reopens in September.
